by Domingo B. Natividad V
QUEZON CITY, Dec 28 (PIA) — Five barangays surrounding the Quezon City Memorial Circle (QCMC) were tidied Wednesday morning by volunteers and members of a religious congregation in a clean-up drive.
In an interview with PIA-NCR, Phil Park of the World Mission Society Church of God, a South Korean founded religious organization and organizer of the event, said their clean-up will spread in barangays Malaya, Central, Pinyahan, Sikatuna Village, and Teachers’ Village.
Park said the event was simultaneously done around the world in countries where their Church could be found.
Relative to this, the city government of Quezon has extended its support to the clean-up with the provision of dump trucks in five barangays for the garbage and wastes collected by the group.
Apart from this, the group will also introduce the volunteers and other interested individuals to the South Korean culture through food and clothing display. (RJB/DBNV-PIA NCR)
