Christ Ahnsahnghong has never testified that he was Christ, but only that he was Elijah. He implied that he was the prophet Elijah in the preface of His book, “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life.”
|[Preface of “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life”]. . . as it is written in Mal 4:5-6―the last chapter of the Old Testament: “See, I will send you the prophet Elijah before that great and dreadful day of the Lord comes . . .” As it was in the time of John the Baptist and Jesus’ first coming, so it will be in the last days . . .|
However, the testimony of the Old Testament about the prophet Elijah was all fulfilled by John the Baptist (Mal 4:5; Mt 11:13-15; Mt 17:11-13), and John the Baptist who was the prophet Elijah was not Christ. Therefore, Ahnsahnghong who says that He came to the earth as the prophet Elijah cannot be the Christ. Furthermore, there is no Biblical evidence for the prophet Elijah to come for a third time.
1. It is certain that Christ Ahnsahnghong came as the prophet Elijah
This fact is written clearly in the preface of “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life,” and every member who has studied in our church knows this. Then, does that mean He is not Christ? Not at all! If they read the book “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life” carefully, they cannot claim such a wrong insistence. Since they mentioned the preface of the book, let’s carefully study it.
Did Christ Ahnsahnghong only mention the prophet Elijah? Never! He also mentioned David, Melchizedek, and Jesus who will come again in the flesh. However, slanderers distort the truth by omitting the contents about David and Melchizedek, which testify that Christ Ahnsahnghong is God. Isn’t this how children of the devil, who is the father of lies, deceive people?
|[Preface of “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life”]
. . . What is the order of Melchizedek and what does the history of King David represent? Will Jesus come with fire to judge at once? Or will He appear in the flesh to testify about the truth and then come as the Judge on the last day? All of these considerations should not be taken lightly. . . As it was at the time of John the Baptist and Jesus’ first coming, so will it be in the last days. The last truth will not come out from a big church, but it will be shouted in the wilderness . . .
2. Elijah appears in the last days
Moses is not Christ, but Jesus who came as a prophet like Moses is Christ. It is the same with the last Elijah. God let John the Baptist partially fulfill the prophecies about Elijah, through which God testified about the last Elijah. So, John the Baptist is the shadow of the last Elijah. Therefore, even though John the Baptist was not Christ, there is no reason that Elijah who is prophesied to come in the last days cannot be Christ; He is the Christ.
3. The prophecy of Malachi 4 was not fulfilled by John the Baptist
Who doesn’t know that John the Baptist was Elijah 2,000 years ago? It is not because we do not know such basic fact that we testify Christ Ahnsahnghong is Elijah. They claim that the prophecies about Elijah in Malachi 4 were all fulfilled by John the Baptist. However, actually, they were not. The reason their insistence is wrong is as follows:
First, the time when Elijah appears in Malachi 4 is just before the last judgment which is the great and dreadful day of the LORD when the evil people are completely destroyed. However, after the appearance of John the Baptism, did the Last Judgment Day come? No! Therefore, John the Baptist did not completely fulfill the prophecies of Elijah in Malachi 4.
Second, when Elijah in Malachi 4 appears, we are to remember “the law of Moses, the decrees and laws God gave him at Horeb for all Israel.” Then, had John the Baptist ever emphasized the law of Moses? Never! He had never emphasized the law of Moses, but just conducted baptism.
Therefore, John the Baptist did not completely fulfill the prophecies of Elijah in Malachi 4.
What does it mean that such parts have not been fulfilled through John the Baptist? The prophecy of the Bible cannot be wrong at all. Therefore, the prophet Elijah must come right before the last judgment in order to fulfill all these prophecies. So, their claim that Elijah does not need to come again after John the Baptist is all wrong.
4. Who is Elijah to appear in the last days?
Then, who is the prophet Elijah that comes right before the last judgment and teaches God’s law to His people? He is the Second Coming Jesus. It’s because the Bible prophesies that Jesus will come into the world where there is no faith right before the Last Judgment Day. It is also prophesied that He will gather the chosen people to Zion and teach them the law (of the new covenant) in the last days. (Lk18:8; Mt 24:30-31) Therefore, the words, “Christ Ahnsahnghong is Elijah,” mean that He is the Christ who has come a second time.
- Lk 21:27-28 “At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
- Mic 4:1-2 In the last days the mountain of the LORD’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and peoples will stream to it. Many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways, so that we may walk in his paths.” The law will go out from Zion, the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
5. Christ Ahnsahnghong testified that He is Christ
As we’ve examined so far, their claim that Christ Ahnsahnghong cannot be the Second Coming Jesus because He testified that He was the prophet Elijah, is an insistence that came from their ignorance of not knowing our basic truth. Christ Ahnsahnghong clearly testified that He is the Second Coming Christ through “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life.” If we list some parts of the book, they are as follows:
First, when you read the first chapter of “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life,” it is testified that no one can open the seven thunders in heaven or on earth or under the earth, but that only the root of David [the Lamb who had been slain] can unseal the mystery of the seven thunders (Rev 5:1-6). In other words, only the Second Coming Christ can open it. Then, since it is clearly unsealed that the mystery of the seven thunders is the seven feasts in three times, who must Christ Ahnsahnghong be according to this evidence?
Second, He testified that only Jesus is able to restore the truth of the early Church, the new covenant, which was hidden for 1,900 years. Then who did actually restore the truth of the early Church? It is Christ Ahnsahnghong. Therefore, the following article also testified that Christ Ahnsahnghong is Jesus who came a second time.
|[“The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life,” Ch. 11]
Thus, miraculous signs are widely being performed even among those who do not believe in Jesus. But nobody can restore the truth hidden for 1,900 years; for it cannot be restored until the Lord who established it comes again. The words of Rev 5:1-6 show that no one can open the scroll sealed with seven seals except the Lamb. By His coming again in secret and opening the scroll and its seven seals, the truth of the early Church, trampled by Satan for a long time, will be restored. Then the people who are to be saved will come to Jesus, but those who do not understand the truth will all go into destruction.?
[“The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life,” Ch. 14]
Third,?in Chapter 17 of the book, “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life,” it is explained through Ps 110:4 and Ge 14:18-20 that Melchizedek represents Christ who is to come. And it is written that Jesus partially fulfilled the prophecy of the high priest in the order of Melchizedek at His first coming, and it is to be completely fulfilled at His second coming. And it is clearly written that the one who restores the Passover of the new covenant is the last Melchizedek.
|[“The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life,” Ch. 17]
The Apostle Paul clearly testified that this Melchizedek was the Christ who was to come later . . . Putting all these prophecies together, we can see that Jesus is the One who has made a covenant with us by the sacrifice of the new covenant which brings life through bread and wine . . . The order of Levi is the priesthood of sacrificing sheep or bulls, but the order of Melchizedek is the priesthood of serving God with bread and wine.
We must recognize him who blesses us through bread and wine as the very Melchizedek. He will appear in secret in the last days, and restore the Passover of the new covenant which was taken away by the devil. He will give the truth of life to His people . . .
Then, who has restored the Passover of the new covenant? It is Christ Ahnsahnghong. Therefore, doesn’t it mean that Christ Ahnsahnghong is Jesus who came a second time? Even though it is so obviously explained, those who are spiritually blind still claim that Christ Ahnsahnghong is not the Second Coming Jesus by quoting the preface of “The Mystery of God and the Spring of the Water of Life.” How foolish they are! Not only are there the aforementioned words, but there are lots of teachings in this book. Please read it carefully again.
Despite the words of prophecy (Isaiah 53) that Jesus would go through affliction, the Jews who crucified Jesus rejected Him just because of the words that Christ would become a king forever. In the same way, slanderers today make bad use of a certain phrases in the Truth Book without knowing the testimony of the whole book that Father Ahnsahnghong is the Second Coming Christ.
- Jn 12:34 The crowd spoke up, “We have heard from the Law that the Christ will remain forever, so how can you say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this ‘Son of Man’?”
