Nathan A.S. USA
It happened 2 weeks before I left Medellin to go to Korea for my next assignment. I was walking in the mall to get a present for my family; two Koreans stopped me and started to explain about the Bible. I could not understand their English, so I just said ‘yes, yes.’ Then I gave them my phone number and left. Four days later, I received a call from them, and curiosity led me to the Church of God. I was surprised by the truth I encountered there. After receiving the truth, I was shocked and I could not even believe that I was staying in Zion every day to study the Bible. The reason was that when I did not know the truth, I only attended church 3 or 4 times a year. Since I was going to Korea and had only 2 weeks, I wanted to study everything with the American deacon and the members also wanted to teach me as many subjects as possible.
Luckily, my departure date was postponed to a week later so I could preach the gospel and share joyful time with the members every day. After arriving in Korea, we stayed with my in-laws before I moved to my assigned base, and there we attended Zion together. I was overjoyed since my wife and son had also received the blessing of new life. However, when my mother-in-law who was catholic opposed our faith, my wife closed her mind and I did not know what to do but just prayed for her.
In Zion near the base, I was able to receive so much help from the American members. I was happy spending the Sabbath day with the members every week. But in the corner of my mind, I felt bad for my wife because she was unhappy that I was going to Church. I prayed earnestly every day for my wife to realize the true God. One day, we had a meal with an American deacon and his Korean wife. Naturally, my wife became close to the deacon’s wife and had a Bible study with her a few times. Two weeks passed, and my wife kept the service in Zion. It was an impressive moment that words could not express. Now, my wife lives a life of faith more diligently than I do. My mother-in-law encourages us, saying that the Church of God is a good Church, after breaking her misconception about our Church. I pray that my mother-in-law will soon receive the blessing of salvation, too.
I had a chance to meet Heavenly Mother whom I missed so much after seeing Her through videos. I cried like a child in Mother’s arms when Mother called my name. At that time, I felt something wonderful like something warm surrounded my body. It is a great blessing that I am in Korea where Heavenly Mother dwells. Due to the nature of my job, keeping the feasts fully is difficult for me, but I hope to bear many fruits and see Mother often while I stay in Korea. I have a biological father whom I was separated from when I was a baby. Although I never knew him, I did my best to look for him, but I could not find him. I could deeply feel Mother’s eagerness to find Her lost children while I was spending time anxiously searching for my father. Two months after I arrived in Korea, a miraculous thing happened to me! I got a message from my father through the Internet. So I called him and finally I met my father whom I had missed so much. When I met my father, I felt secure and so relieved from all my sorrows.
I know that our heavenly family’s sad story will end when we find all of our brothers and sisters who have been separated. Therefore, I want to find our heavenly family members not only here in Korea but also in the United States through short-term missions and be a great gospel worker.
I know that through the grace of God I came to meet Heavenly Father Ahnsahnghong and God the Mother and have faith in Them after realizing the truth. Mother, I truly give all thanks to You and I love You wholeheartedly.
